Materials

Our canvas stretched over wooden frame supports are custom made by no other than ourselves. We have selected only the best Chinese fir wooden frame supports, and we stretch 220 GSM 100% cotton canvas over them, which is then fastened on the reverse with small tacks allowing the painting to be finished neatly along the sides. The surface is primed three times unlike the standard double primed which we then smooth down with fine abrasive paper giving us a solid platform to create our stunning paintings on. The paints and mediums that we use are Winsor & Newton Finity series pigments, which are applied in multiple layers by the artist depending on the depth and light of the artwork in question. Our newborn artwork is then set to dry for 72 hours before we apply a thin layer of Winsor & Newton acrylic matt or gloss varnish to its vibrant surface.
